RiboShredder™ RNase Blend

  • Complete removal of RNA from genomic and cloned DNA preparations.

The RiboShredder™ blend is a cocktail of potent RNases that completely degrades unwanted RNA in DNA purification procedures. This highly active cocktail contains a proprietary, optimized blend of non mammalian RNase enzymes. Unlike other RNase cocktails, RiboShredder RNase Blend degrades all RNA (Fig. 1), converting RNA to nucleoside monophosphates.

Unit Definition: One unit of RiboShredder™ RNase Blend completely degrades 130 µg of RNA in TE buffer in 10 minutes at 37°C.

Assay Substrate: Nucleic acids from a standard alkaline lysis plasmid preparation, where the RNA/DNA concentration is 13 mg/ml and the plasmid DNA concentration is 0.5 mg/ml.
